Have more than 41 years of experience in environment sector; have appraised more than 300 EIA reports and was Government Analyst approved under E(P) Act. Retired as the Director of the Department of Environment & Climate Change in Government of Kerala. Areas of expertise broadly include appraisal of EIA; preparation of EIA; Plakton studies& benthos, Analysis of environmental quality attributes of water, air (ambient & stack), soil, effluent including the use of AAS, GLC, HPLC, Spectrophotometer, Specific ion anlyser, Mercury analyser etc. Further experienced in the process of ISO certifications, NABET and/or NABL accreditations etc. Has also enjoyed the Government positions as the Head of the secretariat of State level Environment Impact assessment Authority (SEIAA) Kerala and State Level Expert Appraisal committee (SEAC) Kerala; Secretary SEAC Kerala, Administrative member of Appellate (both air & water) Authority of Government of Kerala to consider appeals against the decisions of Kerala State Pollution Control Board; Head of the Nodal department of Climate change action plan in Kerala; Head of the nodal department for implementation of Wetland rule, Scientist in KSPCB, Scientific Officer in S&T dept etc.
